IFMA’s 2021 World Workplace Review
IFMA’s 2021 World Workplace Review
Last week SCLogic staff members attended IFMA’s World Workplace in Kissimmee, FL. We dusted off the booth cases, packed up the promo items, and practiced our elevator pitches for our first in-person tradeshow in two years. We had to rewrap our minds around the idea of attracting people into our booth after spending the past year and a half trying to avoid people. Fortunately, IFMA did a great job implementing COVID-19 procedures and making attendees and exhibitors feel safe. Here are our top three takeaways from the conference:
1. While attendance and the show itself were noticeably smaller, the attendees present were ready to talk. It’s no secret that facility and mailroom managers are facing new challenges this year with offices reopening, introducing touchless services, and supporting a hybrid workforce. Luckily, we spent the past two years listening to our customers and configuring our facility management software, Intra Enterprise, to aid managers in tackling these new challenges with ease.
2. Our new trade show booth looked terrific. We purchased a brand new 10×30 booth in February 2019, and then the world shut down. Despite sitting in cases for two years, the booth displayed well, still looked modern, and really resonated with our audience.
3. Now, more than ever, businesses seem to understand the value of process automation. Many companies, government agencies, and universities are facing labor shortages and more restrictions due to COVID-19. Processes that were previously tracked with pen and paper, such as package tracking, asset tracking, visitor tracking, and office requests, are being automated to ensure accountability (for both in-person and remote staff) and limit human-to-human interaction.
All in all, it felt good to get out on the road and talk to people face to face, and we’re looking forward to helping people tackle their new challenges head-on with our in-building logistics platform, Intra. If you attended World Workplace and didn’t get a chance to talk to us, email us at [email protected] to set up a virtual demo.
